SourcePoint™ 6.7 is a Landmark Software Release
TUSTIN, CA, April 2, 2008 /Market Wire/ -- Arium, an industry leader in hardware-assisted development tools, today announced the release of SourcePoint™ 6.7, the latest version of the company’s flagship debugger. This release offers substantial improvements for ARM™-based software and firmware development, including an advanced trace search facility, HTM support, and more precise target control.
“This software release brings a debug experience for our customers that is unrivaled from previous releases.” said Larry Traylor, Arium’s CEO. “With the introduction of SourcePoint 6.7, it’s the obvious choice.”
SourcePoint 6.7 introduces an improved Trace Search facility with a 10x boost in performance and added capabilities. Improved cycle-accuracy for CoreSight™ ETM targets, and intermixed display of AMBA AHB Trace (HTM) data with program trace are also new in version 6.7. The management and control over the target have been improved to include power-cycle breakpoints and enhanced reset control.
Arium offers advanced Linux OS-aware debug support, as well. The Arium solution delivers full symbolic, source-level debugging of Linux kernel code (including loadable kernel modules) and applications (including shared libraries). Developers can launch or attach to processes with seamless transitions to and from the kernel and each process. In addition, Arium delivers kernel debug straight out of reset, dynamic debug of loaded Linux kernel modules, and Linux console output through the JTAG port, eliminating the need for a serial or Ethernet port on the target.
SourcePoint 6.7 is available with the purchase of an Arium ETM trace port analyzer or JTAG emulator.
