Recently Introduced LX-1000 JTAG Debugger with Trace Now Supports ARM® Processors
Embedded Systems Conference (San Jose, California) April 28, 2010 – Arium (Tustin, CA) today announced at ESC West the addition of ARM® processor support on the LX-1000 JTAG debugger with trace memory. The LX-1000 is the next generation of Arium hardware-assisted debuggers supporting a full range of ARM processor-based devices. A modular design, the LX-1000 also supports popular Intel®-based devices.
The LX-1000 supports all ARM9™, ARM11™, and ARM Cortex™ processor families. Parallel ETM and serial ETM (both Marvell SETM and ARM HSSTP protocols) are supported. Trace acquisition speeds are the fastest in the industry. Parallel ETM supports event capture up to 680 MHz and serial ETM supports up to 6 lanes at 6.25 GHz. Arium offers the deepest trace depths available today with the LX-1000. Trace depths start at 2 GBytes, with optional 4 and 8 GBytes of storage. Connectivity includes USB 2.0 and 10/100/1000 Ethernet.
“With the recent introduction of the LX-1000, we are very happy to add ARM support to the architecture,” said Larry Traylor, Arium CEO. “The LX-1000 provides advanced debug support for today’s most complex ARM devices.”
“High-performance debug and trace using ARM CoreSight technology is enabling the development of ever more complex ARM processor-based devices,” said Serge Poublan, CoreSight product marketing manager, ARM. “We are pleased to see support from Arium for ARM’s CoreSight IP, the industry name for on-chip debug and trace.”
SourcePoint™ is Arium’s flagship debugger providing debug features supporting multiple cores devices including mixed architecture SoCs. Arium provides a comprehensive Linux debug solution allowing developers to debug kernel, kernel modules, and application code seamlessly. SourcePoint runs on both Microsoft® Windows® and Linux hosts.
The LX-1000 offers advanced debug features to tackle complex designs. Engineers can find problems fast with ground breaking visibility of hardware and software. More information can be found at http://www.arium.com/product/66/LX-1000-JTAG-Debugger-With-Deep-Trace.html.
Availability
The LX-1000 is immediately available. Customers can order the LX-1000 (2 GBytes of trace memory), LX-PAR (parallel ETM), LX-SER (serial ETM), and the LX-4GB or LX-8GB (4 and 8 GBytes trace memory options).
