American Arium
Launches SourcePoint™ 7.6 with
Enhanced TSM
Latest Debugger Supports Intel® Active
Management Technology and the Intel® Atom™
Processor Better Than Ever
TUSTIN, CA, May 5,
2008 /Market Wire/ -- American Arium, an industry leader in
hardware-assisted development tools, today announced the release of
SourcePoint™ 7.6. The latest version of the company's flagship debugger
delivers enhanced Target State Management (TSM) and support for Intel®
Active Management Technology.
“SourcePoint 7.6 is all
about target state management,” said Larry Traylor, Arium’s CEO. “We
started the process with SourcePoint 7.5 and have completed it with 7.6.
With this latest version of our debugger, developers will find that
SourcePoint is now much more aware of the state of the target, how it
got to that state, and what it was doing at the time the state changed.
SourcePoint can better return to where it was before the target hung or
crashed now, too.”
Built into the TSM code is support for Intel®
Active Management Technology (AMT). Intel AMT, which is supported on
Intel® Centrino® with vPro™ technology and Intel®
Core™2 processor with vPro™ technology, lets IT professionals take
better care of their networked computing assets. Intel AMT allows the IT
person to determine what’s out there, even while PCs are powered off. It
allows remote “healing” of systems after OS failures, and it includes a
“defense” feature from incoming threats.
SourcePoint 7.6 works with several Arium
JTAG emulators, including the latest ECM-XDP3, which supports the new
Intel® Atom™ processor. SourcePoint 7.6 delivers reliable run
control, and depending on architecture, complex breakpoints with
execution trace. Arium hardware-assisted debug solutions give the
software and firmware developer unsurpassed visibility to and
development of code via a series of intuitive screens and dialogs with
numerous viewing and customization options. SourcePoint operates in real
time with all core frequencies, supports the Intel® Unified
Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI), and works with today's most
popular compiler tool chains. It supports industry-standard input file
formats and includes a robust C-like command language.
Arium’s SourcePoint
7.6 debugger is available with the purchase of an Arium in-target probe.
